Veritas Privacy Policy

Veritas ("the app") helps you check AI-generated text for factual accuracy and logical consistency. This policy explains what data the app processes and how.

What we process

• Text you submit for analysis. When you paste or type text into Veritas, it is sent to our server to be analyzed (entity/claim extraction, logical consistency checking, and fact verification). The analysis result is returned to your device and is not stored on our servers.
• We do not require an account. Veritas does not collect your name, email, or other personal identifiers to use the app.

How we use it

Submitted text is sent to a third-party AI language model provider to extract claims and generate a verdict, and to DuckDuckGo's public search service to gather supporting evidence for factual claims. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Data retention

Your analysis history is stored only on your device. Deleting an analysis from the History screen, or deleting the app, permanently removes it. Our servers do not keep copies of your text or analyses after your request completes.

Third parties

Veritas uses an AI language model provider to process text, and DuckDuckGo's public search API to look up supporting evidence. No data is shared beyond what is necessary to perform these functions.

Subscriptions

Optional Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. Subscriptions are governed by Apple's standard Terms of Use (EULA).
